EU Market Research | Strategy | Communications (German Market)
Overview:
Built for Marketing worked with Integrated Design Limited for a specific cross border project, identifying new market distribution partners in Germany. Jules Quested Williams, based in the UK office and Iris Wilke, based locally in Germany worked closely with the management team in establishing the required criteria of a preferred German distribution partner. Eventually establishing a select group of contacts and being participant in the local language communications and ultimate personal introductions required to kick start the new market opportunities.
The solution and results:
BFM identified suitable distribution partners with a focus in the product sectors of gates, barriers and bollards, small to mid-tier businesses with a clear geographical footprint and installation experience and knowledge. BFM delivered through desk based market research detailed information on each suitable partner candidate. This initial list was discussed in detail with the team and a smaller criteria based list identified for phase two.
BFM identified the customer base that will best build and grow the sales position.
Built for Marketing created a detailed comparable matrix of company information including company accreditations, product details, market positioning etc. and identified a preferred shortlist of German distributors for one to one discussions and negotiations.
BFM facilitated distribution engagement, meeting preparation, support, and translation, including German language initial contact letters and managed meeting requests, project managed meetings over approximately four days, assisting with distributor discussions as required, and translation assistance.

What Integrated Design Limited says
“The benefit to a client in having local EU market knowledge, local language and cultural understanding is undeniable. Together with Jules, we were able to ensure the project was delivered effectively and efficiently within the time frame of six weeks. This ensured that momentum was maintained through to delivery that would otherwise have been difficult if the client had undertaken the project without BFM’s assistance.”
